Kindle Voyager on reading and organizing fanfic
My Sony T1 reader isn't dead yet, but that Voyager screen looks beautifully crisp and I am so, so tempted.
Does anyone have any idea on how this latest Kindle works with fanfic? I always said I would give Kindle another chance if they had page-turn buttons and a decent catalog/tagging system.
Can the Voyager:
- load drm-free epub or mobi via calibre?
- load personal epubs (aka fanfic) via calibre?
- organize into categories (ideally from calibre) or am I going to end up with a giant alpha list of every fic?
If you have a Voyager, please help! The FAQs on Amazon don't really cover the cloud collections thing (or at least I couldn't find it)

And you can set up any categories you like to organise your books or fan fic into :)

When downloading AO3 mobis, do you get to assign categories as they appear, or does the Kindle pick up AO3 tags as categories?

Mobi, yes. Epub, no.

Mobi, not Epub. (But you can easily just convert them in Calibre)

There is a hack to make Calibre folders be your Kindle collections, but it's easier to just do it on the device and then they're saved to your Cloud collections. I have about...80 collections on my Kindle (10 are fanfic related).

I believe there are Voyager reviews at http://www.mobileread.com/ and someone there may be able to answer your question about the collections and how they are handled and what plugins can help make it easier.
If I had a Kindle, I'd answer but I'm also in the dark in terms of how the Kindle Voyager deals with collections.
EDIT: Most of my collection knowledge for the Kindle comes from what I've read about other versions of the Kindle, not the Voyager.

We've started developing new digital library, at this moment it looks a bit messy, but we've just launched and working on upgrades, so in case you're interested, you can visit it hear http://8files.com/
Currently really a lot of different papers and ebooks, but without latest fiction, category Fiction is not ready yet.
