Hello,
I'm new here too ... or rather I never posted. For Christmas this year, my BF think about an ereader, but here's the heck, we are living in France, and Wifi or 3G+ is not a common feature here. So this is not really necessary.
I've tested a few ereader, but can't really decide between two and a third I can't test, because it's shop policy...
The one I can't test is the eLyricon EBX600 e-ink. Anyone ever heard about it?
and the other two are :
- Reader Touch Edition - where you can add memory and all ... but when I tried it, I had 'troubles' with the tactile screen ... it was working but not as great as the one for the Pocket Touch edition ... there the screen was working just fine... but you can't save the ebooks on an external sd card .... pity ... really.
I also know, I would like to be able to read when there's not a lot of light left outside , you know... and be able to protect the device correctly ... I know i'm picky... and what about the battery? When you are a passionate reader how long does it held? And if it's broken, what will happen, is there a possibility to change it?
I want to use the reader to read books, and fictions (mostly fictions ... I saved a long time ago, or recently.) because lets face it printing everything out is really paper consuming... and when you go on holiday, 5kg books is a schlep, really!!
So I turn to you, what are the good and bad things about those readers?
Thanks for any help.
Sam
