Hello everyone. I'm new to this comm, ebooks and ereaders, not fanfic though.  My intro and what I've tried so far )

So my question is, is there some app or program that I can use on my iPad to organize my pdfs (by rating, tag, see descriptions, genre, etc) and read them?

Hey there!

I finally found my way here. I've been visiting the webpage for a while now, once in every three months or so.

I read a lot. Like, tons and I roam through fandoms very quickly. During last year there's been SGA, Torchwood, SPN and now the latest is due South and everything that comes with the oh so lovely C6D. I prefer PDF but those are rather hard to find so I use Nuance to convert files into PDFs and then bluetooth them to my phone - or, more like, I used to do that. Now I have unlimited data in my smart phone so I can just read them stories on their webpages - that's why I actually bought the phone, to have better access to the net and to have Word for writing and reading.

Um. That's it, I guess. Oh, good work with the library, btw. And I could help you, [livejournal.com profile] amothea with the converting, if you need help. I don't have much free time in my hands but for a good cause I'm always willing to help ;)

Hello, oh wonderful people who can hopefully answer my burning questions! (Is the flattery working?) I'm really interested in Barnes & Noble's new eBook called the nook. The nook just came out about a month ago so it's very new, but it's already back ordered to February 11! I've been keeping an eye on it because I like what I see.The Kindle and Sony eReader just look weird to me, and I don't like the way they operate. But then, I've only ever seen the much abused Sony eReader at my local Best Buy store and the info about the Kindle on Amazon so I could very well be mistaken. The nook is the only ebook/ereader that I've actually gotten to play with and explore much so I may very well be prejudiced. If I am, please set me straight. I'd love to learn more about other devices from people who actually know about them! Anyway, the purpose of this post is to ask if anyone has tried out PDF files converted in NeoOffice on the nook. I have a Mac and use NeoOffice as my main word processor. My plan is to beg for a nook for Christmas and be able to read all my favorite fanfiction when ever and where ever I want. So, do you experts think my plan will work? I don't wanna get the nook only to be disappointed, not that I'd mind having access to B&N's new ebook library and all the other great features, but I really want to read my sl-ah fanfic on the go (and keep it safe - I tend to loose stuff). Thanks! Meg =) P.S. I don't think LiveJournal likes me right now. This post may be a bit confusing because of some format errors - sorry!

Hi there I just joined up. I don't have an eReader, but I do write and am working on getting my fics loaded to eBook Library. I finally got it worked out thanks to Amalthia's very kind help. I think I know just enough about this stuff to hurt my head...lol

Maybe I'll get this stuff figured out one day soon.

Hi! *waves* I'm [livejournal.com profile] scarlett_o. I've been interested in this format for a while, but up until now haven't had an ebook reader of any kind. I recently got an iPod touch and I'm interested in using Stanza to read fic on my iPod. I'm not sure how it's going to work, but this seemed like the place to find handy tips and additional help.

I read and write. I write or have written in Supernatural, Sports Night, CWRPS, Pop!Slash, and Swim!slash. I obviously read all of those and I also read Buffy, Due South, CSI: Las Vegas, Numb3rs, Die Hard 4, and any other number of fandoms that catch my eye.

I'm definitely interested in learning more and contributing however I can.

Hi, my online penname is Amalthia. I have a PRS-500 and a PRS-505. I read in multiple fandoms Supernatural, Stargate Atlantis, Due South, and etc...basically every fandom you see at the Ebook Library I've read. :)

This would be longer but I still have homework.
